Ray Johnstone

July 01, 2019/ Richard Mander

It was with great sadness that we learnt of the sudden death of club member Ray Johnstone. Ray was a great supporter of the GAC and an enthusiastic angler and project worker. Ray’s son Mark has donated the generous sum of £200 to the club from the sale of some of his fathers fishing tackle. Our thoughts and prayers are with Judy, Mark and the family at this difficult time.

Clean our rivers! #yarnbonb #tuffleyavenue #environmentagency
Amazing effort from our volunteers at Durbridge Mill today. They braved the awful weather to work with our tree surgeon felling and coppicing dead and diseased alders. What a team! #habitatimprovement #environmentagency #alders #coppicing #riverleado
Great use of woody debris to transform a full width blockage into a fish holding feature. #habitatimprovement #riverleadon #woodydebris #woodydebrisinrivers
Great team effort at Durbridge last week converting a huge blockage into a feature that’s perfect for fish and fishing! Thanks to @envagency for support #fisheryimprovementproject #anglingimprovementfund #habitatimprovement #riverleadon #gac #t
Ingenious work by our member Barry Townsend to improve river access at Upleadon. #riverleadon #gac #anglingimprovements
